I grew up loving this time of year. Dyeing Easter eggs, shopping for a new Easter dress and black patent leather shoes (am I aging myself?!?!), learning my Easter speech for church or my part in the play, Easter egg hunts, family dinners, and the infamous Easter basket! But even growing up, my parents never waivered from me understanding the true meaning in celebrating this holiday… Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. For those who are not so religious, Easter marks a long weekend filled with fun. Whether you refer to April 21st, 2019 as “Happy Easter”, “Blessed Resurrection Sunday”, or “Pascha”, more than 70% of Americans will be celebrating Resurrection Sunday tomorrow. With church services, Easter plays and speeches, Easter egg hunts, dyeing and decorating eggs, Easter brunches and dinners, and more, tomorrow will be a great day. How great? Here is a snippet!
